Reliance Jio Announces JioPhone 2 With QWERTY Keypad, Let's See What You Will Get New

R eliance Industries has announced its second-generation 'smart feature phone', the JioPhone 2. The device has been priced at Rs. 2,999, and will be available for purchase from August 15.

Unlike the first-gen device, the JioPhone 2 comes with a QWERTY keypad, but it borrows its predecessor’s 4-way navigation key and the dedicated voice command button to summon the Hello Jio voice assistant.

The JioPhone 2 comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA display (320×240), 512MB of RAM and 4GB of expandable storage. It also packs a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP camera on the front.

The device runs KAI OS, supports FM radio and carries a 2,000mAh battery. it also offers native support for 24 Indian languages, and comes with WhatsApp, Facebook and YouTube.

The JioPhone 2 support VoLTE and Cat4 LTE connectivity alongside Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and FM radio. It also comes with an NFC chip, possibly to support mobile payments.
